Model T2 launches as Model T and Model S retire

Opium has launched the Model T2. It becomes the all-round speed pedelec in the range, and it replaces the Model T.

The Model T2 sits between the Model C, built for the urban ride to work, and the Model S2 and Model S-LR at the long-distance end. Like every Opium it assists up to 45 km/h, which places it in the speed pedelec category rather than among standard e-bikes.

At the same time, the Model T and the Model S are discontinued. Both leave the range with the launch of the Model T2.

Owners keep full support. Service and spare parts continue for both retired models, and every Opium dealer continues to work on them. Nothing changes for anyone already riding one.

The range is now five bikes. Model C for the city, Model L on a low-step frame, Model T2 for all-round use, and Model S2 and Model S-LR for distance. All five are designed, painted and assembled in Switzerland.
