Engineered for performance and reliability, the Model S2 is the speed pedelec for any journey, whether it's your daily commute or an adventurous long-distance ride. It moves through the city at 45 km/h and parks in spaces where cars simply can't go.
With a Pinion C-Series gearbox in nine or twelve speeds, a 1,600 Wh battery for up to 230 km, and a 1000 W rear-hub motor, the Model S2 cruises at up to 45 km/h.

One charge, one working week.
The 1,600 Wh battery drives the 1000 W rear-hub motor to 45 km/h, for up to 230 km on a single charge. For a rider with a 20 km commute, that is Monday to Friday and both ways, without plugging in once between.
That is the number worth doing the arithmetic on. A car covering the same week costs you fuel, a parking space at each end, and the time spent finding the second one. The Model S2 costs you one socket, overnight, at whichever end you prefer.
The battery is integrated into the frame, which keeps the silhouette intact and the weight low and central. Loaded with panniers, the bike still steers like the bike you left the shop on.
Quiet and powerful: Opium hub motor
1000 W, in near silence.
A 1000 W brushless rear-hub motor with consistent torque and assistance to 45 km/h. Flat road or steep incline, the delivery is the same, and it stays the same at the end of a long day as it was at the start.
45 km/h is the number that changes the arithmetic against a car. On most urban routes it is faster door to door, because it is not the top speed that decides the journey but the queue, the lights and the last four hundred metres to a parking space.
The motor is sealed in the rear hub and quiet enough that you cannot hear it while riding. Nothing about it is exposed, and nothing about it needs your attention between services.
Nine or twelve-speed Pinion gearbox
Fully sealed, belt-driven.
The Pinion C-Series gearbox, fully sealed, drives a Gates Carbon Belt Drive. The Model S2 is available with nine speeds or twelve — nine is ideal for a flat route you already know, twelve for finer gradation where the gradient keeps changing.
Both are sealed units. There is no chain to stretch, no cassette to wear and no derailleur to knock out of line, and the belt needs neither lubrication nor re-tensioning. Service attention comes round about every 10,000 km rather than every few hundred.
Over a year of commuting that is the difference between a drivetrain you maintain and one you use.
Intelligent power management
1,600 Wh, perfectly allocated.
FIT sits between the 1,600 Wh battery and the 1000 W motor and decides, continuously, how much power is delivered. It reads cadence, gradient and load, and it adjusts several times a second.
Fine-tuning the power is what turns 1,600 Wh into up to 230 km. A motor given a fixed level of assistance spends charge on gradients that did not need it; a motor managed against the actual load does not.
There is nothing to configure. FIT is working from the first pedal stroke, and the only evidence of it is the range you have left at the end of the week.
Eight adjustable positions
Set the bike to the rider.
The ergonomic cockpit adjusts through up to eight positions, so the bike is set to the rider rather than the rider to the bike.
The lighting, the brakes and the mirror are integrated rather than added, which is why none of them spoils the line of the bike. You choose between a wireless charger Quad Lock mount and the large FIT comfort display.
Over a 25 km commute, position is what decides whether you arrive comfortable.
Rigid or suspension fork
Composed as standard. Softer if you want it.
The Model S2 handles confidently on the rigid fork it comes with. The optional suspension fork absorbs vibration and takes the edge off a poor surface, without slowing the steering down.
Which one is right depends on the route rather than the rider. City tarmac and tram tracks reward the suspension; a smooth commute does not need it.
Engineered for safety and precision riding
A lower position, and full awareness.
A Supernova headlight, hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm rotors front and rear, an integrated rearview mirror, and the FIT controls on the cockpit.
A lower, more dynamic riding position puts you closer to the road and more in touch with what the bike is doing. Paired with equipment specified at design rather than bolted on afterwards, that makes the Model S2 a bike you can ride fast with everything in view.
203 mm rotors, four-piston callipers, and the same stopping behaviour wet or dry.
Mudguards with integrated pannier rack
Built for the daily load.
The Model S2's mudguards double as a pannier rack, built around Ortlieb's QL3 mounting interface, with the light cable concealed inside the structure.
Tool-free to fit and tool-free to remove, so the bike carries a week's shopping on Saturday and looks like a bike again on Sunday. Nothing is clamped to the frame and nothing rattles.
And it still parks where a car cannot, with the panniers still on it.

A speed pedelec assists to 45 km/h, where a standard e-bike stops assisting at 25 km/h. On a 20 km route that is about forty minutes door to door, parking included. In most of Europe it is classed as a light moped: an insurance plate, a helmet, and in some countries a moped licence category.
