Every Opium bike is engineered to outlast trends, technology cycles, and the worst the road can throw at it. We back every part we make. And when you register your bike, we back the frame, the structural soul of the bike, for life.
This warranty is a commercial guarantee offered by Opium in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not affect or limit them in any way.
| Component | Standard warranty | With registration |
|---|---|---|
| Opium frame | 2 years | Lifetime (original and second owner) |
| All other Opium-branded componentsAny component manufactured by or carrying the Opium brand | 2 years | 3 years |
Coverage applies to defects in material or workmanship under normal private use, from the date of original purchase from an authorised Opium dealer.
For registered bikes, lifetime frame coverage applies for as long as the bike is owned or ridden by its original owner (or, for a leased bike, its original rider) or by a second owner to whom the warranty has been transferred. If a frame identical to the original is no longer available, Opium will provide an equivalent current Opium frame.
Register your bike on the platform below at any time within the original 2-year warranty period. Registration unlocks lifetime coverage on your frame and adds one year to every Opium-branded component, for a total of 3 years.

Registering also means we can reach you in the unlikely event of a safety recall or an important technical update.
Parts we don’t make, most importantly the motor system, battery, display, and remote control and any other non-Opium-branded component, are covered by their respective manufacturer’s warranty rather than by Opium.
We don’t leave you to figure that out. Bring any third-party component issue to your authorised Opium dealer and we’ll handle the routing to the supplier on your behalf.
The Opium warranty does not cover:
Any Opium component repaired or replaced under this warranty is itself covered for 2 years from the date of repair, even if your original warranty has less time remaining. We stand behind our fix the same way we stand behind the original part.
If you ride an Opium bike acquired through an employer bike-leasing programme, whichever leasing company provides it, this warranty applies to you, the rider, on the same terms as a private purchase.
Your dealer can confirm the documentation we’ll need from the leasing partner to process a claim.
This warranty is granted to the original owner of the bike or, in the case of a leasing arrangement, to the original rider named on the lease.
The warranty can also be transferred to a second owner if the bike is sold or passed on, under the conditions set out below. Proof of original purchase or lease activation from an authorised Opium dealer is required for any warranty claim, regardless of current ownership.
When you sell or pass on your Opium bike, the remaining warranty can be transferred once to the new owner. It cannot be transferred again after that. Two conditions apply:
If the bike was registered, its lifetime frame coverage transfers in full to the second owner. All other Opium components remain covered from the original purchase date: 2 years, or 3 years if the bike was registered. The original purchase receipt (or original lease activation document) must be presented at the time of transfer.

Your dealer will inspect the issue and coordinate directly with Opium. If the claim is approved, Opium will, at its discretion, repair or replace the affected component.
This warranty is a commercial guarantee offered by Opium in addition to your statutory consumer rights, including, where applicable, the legal guarantee of conformity under EU Directive 2019/771 and the equivalent national consumer protection laws in your country of purchase. Those rights, including free-of-charge remedies from your seller for any lack of conformity, remain fully available to you, and nothing in this warranty limits or replaces them.
This warranty is issued by Revolt Zycling AG (Ride Opium), Allmendstrasse 15, 8320 Fehraltorf, Switzerland.
